目前我國地坪涂料80%以上為溶劑型涂料，其余的主要為無溶劑環(huán)氧涂料和聚脲噴涂體，水性地坪涂料所占比例很小。溶劑型地坪涂料中含有較多的有機溶劑，這些有機溶劑在涂料的生產(chǎn)和施工期間排入大氣，污染環(huán)境，同時危害人類健康；此外溶劑型聚氨酯地坪涂料中還含有游離的異氰酸酯單體，在施工過程中，會嚴重影響人體健康和生活環(huán)境。而無溶劑防水補漏白蟻防治涂料中含有少量的活性稀釋劑，常用的活性稀釋劑為丁基環(huán)氧丙基醚（有一定毒性），成本較高且仍含有一定量的揮發(fā)性有機溶劑。溶劑型地坪涂料在實際施工中還存在許多難以克服的弊病，如起泡、鼓泡、脫落、附著不良等，會受到環(huán)境溫濕度、基層濕度，以及基面的其它問題的影響，特別是對基材的干燥程度要求很高，而實際施工時很難滿足要求。
